7 reasons to take your kids to The Wiggle Room, Crofton

Being one of our favorite indoor playgrounds in Maryland, we have visited twice with the kids and it was a struggle to leave. The Wiggle room is an all-day indoor play area in Crofton, MD. It was definitely designed by parents and for parents because they literally take the stress of you.

One thing I do not like about some indoor play places is although they are a ton of fun, they get really crazy and it can be hard keeping up with your kids. The wiggle room is not like that, you could literally bring your kids here and sit down to rest while watching them from the couches.

You could rest and take a break while still being able to keep a good eye on your kids. Plus, at the wiggle room, there is a space for every age.

Since I love the wiggle room so much, I decided to give you a few reasons to love this indoor play center for your kids as well!

7 Reasons to visit this Crofton indoor playground

Wiggle Giggle room

The wiggle giggle room is a space ideal for ages 1-5. It has slides, things to climb, slides, play houses, arts and crafts, cars, play houses, pretend play and so much more. My kids spent a huge chunk of their time in here.

There is also a section for babies called Crawlers corners where your little babies can crawl around freely without being stepped on. They have the nicest lounge chairs for parents to relax and mingle with other parents while watching their little ones.

Ninja Royale room

This is a space idea for ages 4-9. It includes a ninja course where kids can jump around, run up a warped wall, do some rock climbing and also have fun in the foam pit. My kids’ favorite part of this room was definitely the foam pit.

They also have tables for activities like arts and crafts etc. and some Lego puzzles etc. Before you ask, they also have a sitting area where you can have access to free coffee and paid snacks while watching your kids in this room too.

Classes and events throughout the week

We have not attended any of the classes or events yet but we have a few we plan to try out soon. We missed the arts and crafts by a few minutes the last time we went. Some of the classes charge an extra fee for non-members in addition to a ticket to the indoor play place.

During the week, they have classes like Slime time, music time, art class, bounce house etc. My one issue with the classes is that they are all on weekday mornings around 10am which is hard if you work in the mornings.

Parent convenience

There is a parent’s lounge/ seating area right next to the main play area (wiggle giggle room) that allows you to not only relax, but also keep a good eye on your kids. The chairs are also very comfortable compared to regular hard chair seats.

A huge plus for me is the Quiet room/ changing room. Its so clean and comfortable with a changing table for your kids and a place to sit plus it is a nice size.

Separate room for eating

You are allowed to bring in food and drinks which is great since some of these snacks can get expensive to buy at the play place. I usually pack a ton of snacks for my kids to avoid buying outside lol.

They do however have a party room at the back with chairs and tables for your kids to eat since food is not allowed on the playroom floor. They also have a fridge in there to keep your things cool. I believe this is also the room where birthday parties are held after play time.

Free coffee for parents

I am not a coffee drinker, but this is a nice touch for parents. Sometimes we need coffee to get through the day with our kids lol. They also have other drinks and snacks for sale next to the coffee machine.

Pay once play all day

Another great reason to love this space is that you get to stay all day yayyy. A few indoor kids play places near me require you to pay for an hour or two which is sometimes annoying because kids hardly want to leave so I love the flexibility of not having to leave at a certain time.

Facebook counter

This is a fun addition, they have this counter in the wiggle giggle room that real time tracks the number of likes they get on the wiggle room Facebook page, how cool is that? I saw it and decided to try it out and it actually works.

Things to know before visiting the wiggle room

Bring your socks cause they are required, and if you plan to go into the Ninja Royale room you need Grip socks and not just regular socks.

Plan to visit during the week if possible as weekends can get a bit busy, although probably not as busy as a lot of places.

Classes and events are usually held in the morning or on weekdays so plan accordingly.

They are typically closed for open play from 11:30 am on Saturdays due to private events.
