1. July 4th Music & Fireworks
In Ocean City, enjoy some patriotic music and fireworks in two different locations! Both shows begin at 9:30 pm, so if you don’t want your family up until midnight, this is a great place to see fireworks! You can see a show at the Beach at N. Division Street or Uptown at Northside Park.
2. Fire on the Mountain Fireworks Display
This is an annual fireworks display that shoots fireworks right from Mountain Park at Wisp Resort and goes over Deep Creek Lake. You can see these fireworks from various places, including Route 219, McHenry Cove on Deep Creek Lake, and some businesses in McHenry.

3. Hagerstown Fireworks Show
In Hagerstown, there is another fun firework event that takes place every year. Head over to Fairgrounds Park for 30 minutes of fireworks that go off to some patriotic music. The fireworks will begin at 9:30 pm.
4. Dundalk Fireworks
This firework display is held on July 5th at the Grange Elementary school. You will be able to see these fireworks from many locations, but you’ll see them best around the elementary school. The show will begin at 9:15 pm.
5. Howard County’s July 4th Fireworks and Live music
At Columbia Lakefront, you can also enjoy a 20-minute firework show beginning at 9:20 pm. You can head over at 5 pm to enjoy some live music, food, and fun.
There is free parking at the Columbia mall and by the Columbia Lakefront adjacent to Whole Foods. This is a really fun Columbia MD fireworks event.

6. Independence Day July Celebration
Shafer Park will have their annual fireworks display as well after 9:00 pm. If you live around the town of Boonsboro, this is a great place to see some spectacular fireworks! They also start earlier, making it a great location for kids.

This is a great fireworks event in Frederick, MD. This fireworks show comes in two stages of entertainment and includes some family friendly rides, activities, food and fireworks from Noon to Dusk.

8. Chesapeake beach fireworks
The Town of Chesapeake Beach’s upcoming Independence Day Celebration is scheduled for July 3, 2023 with a rain date of July 8, 2023. Every year this town sponsors a fireworks display at the center of the Town for everyone to enjoy.

9. Havre de Grace Fireworks and Live Music
The Havre de grace Fireworks usually begin at approximately 9:30 p.m and are launched from a barge in the Susquehanna River, just off of Concord Point Park.
You do not need to be super close to it as the fireworks may be viewed all along the shoreline in Havre de Grace and also in several locations throughout the City.
10. Bel Air 4th of July fireworks
This is a free fireworks event to see as well and these fireworks events are usually held at various locations in the Town of Bel Air so be sure to check the website for updates.

15. Annapolis Fireworks Cruise
This Fireworks Cruise takes place on both July 3rd and 4th. Each day there will be new fireworks to see. On the 3rd, the Sherwood Forest/Severn River fireworks will go off. On the 4th, you’ll be able to watch the City of Annapolis’ firework show on the water.

16. Frostburg Elks Derby Day
Have you ever made a derby car? If you haven’t, try it out and then race it at the Frostburg Elks Derby! First off, you will enjoy a fun parade at 11:30 am. Following the parade, get ready to race your car. The fun will last until 3:00 pm.
17. Visionary Pets on Parade
The Visionary Pets on Parade is such a fun experience; you’ll have to see it at least once while you are in Maryland! Since COVID, this event is now virtual as well! Dress up your pet as patriotic as you can, and then submit a video or picture to join in on the fun.
18. Big Band Night
Enjoy some nice live music performances before a stunning fireworks show for Big Band Night! This event is held at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
Around dusk, the music will end, and you will be able to watch the St. Michael’s fireworks. This is great for younger kids who have an earlier bedtime!
19. Freedom Fest
Freedom Fest is a great way to pay tribute to the heroes who fought for our freedom. This is held every year in Crisfield. This event will last from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on July 3rd.

20. Catonsville Parade and Fireworks
In Catonsville, you will find an entire day full of fun for the 4th of July! Starting at 8:30 am, there is a bike ride that children will love to go on.
Afterward, at 9:30 am, kids can enjoy some fun games, including sack races, spoon races, water balloon toss, and so much more. At 11:00 am, you can head over to the Christian Temple for a fun music concert.
In the afternoon, you can enjoy a huge parade with 12 marching bands! At 6:30 pm, the first fireworks show will go off. This firework display is particularly for families so the kids can go to bed and not stay up too late.
Another firework show and live music will begin at 9:30 pm. Catonsville definitely knows how to celebrate Independence Day!

21. Towson 4th of July Parade, Race, and Bike Rush
Families can enjoy a 4 mile family run and also a bike rush. The Bike Rush usually leads the parade through downtown Towson and is not limited to bikes, as people have used bikes, scooters, wagons and strollers.
The bike rush participants are asked to decorate their “wheels” with balloons, ribbons, flags, crepe paper and other patriotic decoration colors.
22. Dundalk Heritage Parade and Fair
Another great 4th of July in Baltimore activity is the Dundalk Heritage Parade and Fair. It is a 3 day fair with lots of fun activities for families such as arts and crafts, live entertainment, food, moon bounce and more.
23. Havre de Grace Independence Day Parade and Spirit of America Festival
This gives a unique twist on Maryland 4th of July events where there is racing all day from derby cars to adults on mini two-wheelers.
In past years they have had a mac and cheese throwdown where you get a ticket and then sample various restaurant’s mac and cheese and then vote for the winner.
Kids are not limited in the fun as they can decorate their bikes in red, white & blue and other patriotic colors to join the bike parade.
24. Edgewater Mayo Independence Day Parade
Like many other parades, this one also involves decorating your floats, golf carts, trucks etc in patriotic colors. There is also live music and fireworks afterwards.

The Bel Air July 4th Parade is one of the largest in the state. It features floats, bands, marching units, car clubs, notables, Beauty Queens, Volunteer Fire Companies and more. It’s pretty much a full day of fun filled family activities.

Enjoy Annapolis annual Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks extravaganza. It is a weekend full of activities. You start of with Dinner under the stars where yourself and your family enjoy great food under a canopy of white lights.
There is live music and art demonstrations just before the July 4th festivities begin.
There is also an arts festival on the 3rd and then the parade kicks off at 6:30pm on July 4th and is followed by amazing fireworks. Grab some of the best viewing areas on the Northeast of the Severn River, City Dock, along the Naval Academy Bridge or any of the street end parks facing Spa Creek, and aboard a boat in the Annapolis harbor.

29. Six Flags America Presents Coca-Cola July 4th Fest with three Nights of Fireworks
This is a fun filled 4 day event from July 1-4th. Guests can enjoy the rides in the park and then the Fireworks will take place at 9:30 p.m. each night. There is also a live DJ and interactive photo booth.
This is definitely one of our favorite 4th of July in Baltimore activities.
