Top Places to stay in Annapolis, Maryland

1. Graduate Annapolis

The graduate hotel in Annapolis is a four-star hotel that isn’t going to cost you an arm and a leg. It’s décor is what separates the hotel from others. Not only is it classy, but it is also modern and unique.

The hotel features a fitness center free for all guests and two restaurants, one for breakfast and the other for lunch and dinner. The stylish rooms are equipped with TVs and refrigerators, which is a nice little touch. Each room has a double bed; some have two, and the deluxe king bedroom has a sofa and a bed.

While the hotel is not located directly in the city center of Annapolis, it is within a mile of some of the city’s best attractions. Some of these attractions include:

• Naval Academy Museum (0.6 miles). This is one of our favorite and best things to do in Annapolis with kids.
• William Paca Garden (0.5 miles)
• Banneker Douglass Museum (0.2 miles)

You also have bars and restaurants right on your doorstep. On one side of the hotel, you have College Creek; on the other, you have Acton Cove, a beautiful spot to watch the boats on the water.

2. Historic Inns Of Annapolis

The Historic Inns of Annapolis, MD is located in the historic district. You will always know that you are in the historic district because the roads are brick.

As beautiful as this hotel is, one of its main selling points is that all three buildings are just a 5-minute walk from the United States Naval Academy. In fact, most attractions and amenities are within walking distance of the hotel.

The hotel features old-fashioned decor, but it still manages to feel modern. Each room has plush bedding and a 47-inch flat-screen TV for those nights when you’re too tired to go out. All rooms feature a double bed, but the four king rooms have an extra large double bed.

While the hotel does not feature a restaurant, those can be found within walking distance. The hotel does, however, have a beautiful bar. In addition, the fitness center is free for guests to use, just in case you don’t want to mess up your training routine while on holiday.

3. Chic Condo With Balcony

If Annapolis hotels aren’t your thing, why not stay at a condo for a more relaxed vibe? Chic Condo is located right in the heart of the city of Annapolis. Its beautiful balcony has some spectacular views and is a great place to have a cup of coffee before starting your day.

The condo features a beautiful kitchen with all the necessary appliances, so if you don’t feel like eating out, you can make a nice home-cooked meal. Basically, the condo is perfect if you plan on spending a week or more in Annapolis.

Everything in the condo is modern, and it offers free Wi-Fi so you can stay connected while in the city.

That said, at least six restaurants are within walking distance of this property. You can also walk to the United States Naval Academy and its museum. However, the nearest beach is 1.8 miles away, so you will probably need a car for that or use an Uber/taxi.

4. Hilton Garden Inn Annapolis Downtown

The Hilton Garden Inn is located on West Street in Annapolis, Maryland. It is centrally located, with most attractions and amenities close by. The hotel features a restaurant with a lounge and a bar with an upmarket feel.

Sparrow and Carr’s beach is approximately 2 miles away and offers excellent sightseeing or relaxation. The lemongrass restaurant is only 150 feet away, and many more restaurants are within walking distance.

The three-star hotel has a modern feel and look. It offers spacious rooms, all with free Wi-Fi and coffee makers. The fitness center is big and has most of the equipment you would need.

5. The Westin Annapolis

The Westin in Annapolis is one of the most beautiful-looking hotels in the city. At night when it lights up, it becomes an excellent sight to see.

That said, the hotel is not the most centrally located, and you would likely need an Uber/taxi or a car while staying here. However, a major selling point for this hotel is that it is only 16 miles from the nearest airport.

That said, you are still close to a few attractions. These include:

Most Annapolis attractions are all within walking distance and some less than 0.5 miles away. If you prefer a more guided holiday experience, the hotel does offer biking and walking tours

However, with its beautiful gardens and picnic area all with furniture, you might not want to leave the hotel.

The hotel’s interior is classy and elegant, from reception to the rooms. Luckily they offer wine and champagne but do not have a restaurant. That said, there is a Bar and Grill only 200 feet away, along with a few other restaurants.

8. Extended Stay America Suites

It is one thing for a hotel to cater to more extended stays, but as the name suggests, this hotel is designed for it with street parking, a fitness center, free Wi-Fi, and fully equipped kitchens. Oh, the hotel also offers a complimentary grab-and-go breakfast which is significantly helpful on hectic mornings.

You should have a car because most top attractions are over 3 miles away. However, you are very close to broad Creek park and timber Creek, which are beautiful little locations for some sightseeing.

The hotel is pet-friendly. However, charges may apply, and you should phone in before bringing your pets. It also offers a few facilities, these include:
